The Fire Services Implementation Monitor provides independent assurance to government and the community on the progress of fire services reform activities towards a modern fire service for a safer Victoria.
Quarterly reports
The Monitor publishes quarterly reports as required by the Fire Rescue Victoria Act 1958. These reports are developed using information and data provided by Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) against the performance measures set out in their respective Outcomes Frameworks. Visit the CFA Outcomes Framework and the FRV Outcomes Framework for more information.
The Monitor publishes quarterly reports within 30 days of receiving quarterly updates from FRV and CFA. These quarterly updates from the fire agencies are due to the Monitor on 1 February, 1 May, 1 August and 1 November each year.
The Monitor's quarterly reports include:
- the quarterly updates from FRV and CFA
- any supporting data relied upon in the preparation of the quarterly updates
- any other information that the Monitor considers relevant, including any comments on trends, progress and the accuracy of the quarterly updates or the supporting data.
Annual Report on the Fire Services Implementation Monitor’s Operations
The Monitor publishes an annual report in Parliament on the operations of its office for each financial year. These reports provide an assessment of:
- the progress of delivery against relevant fire services implementation plans
- improvements to collaboration between CFA and FRV.
